Its wrong to put them against each other. The focus should not be about one or the other, the focus should be on bringing them together without causing pain and harm to other species. The focus should be on following the path of Ahimsa (non-violence) while minimizing himsa (violence) on any living and non-living substance.
I purchase a half cow from Carman ranch and shop at the farmer's market when in season. I am moving more towards carnivore, with "food shortages," leaving shelves and produce sections more bare.
